Care Advocacy

Navigating the healthcare system can feel overwhelming and isolating, especially when you're already dealing with health concerns. Our Care Advocacy service provides compassionate, personalized support to ensure you're heard, understood, and empowered throughout your medical journey.—Many people struggle to communicate effectively in medical settings due to anxiety and trauma, complex medical terminology, or the power dynamics inherent in doctor-patient relationships. We bridge that gap, helping you feel more confident and in control.—A critical aspect of our advocacy work is helping you recognize and combat medical gaslighting—when healthcare providers dismiss, minimize, or invalidate your symptoms and experiences. This is unfortunately common, particularly for women, people of color, individuals with chronic conditions, and those with mental health diagnoses. We help you prepare for appointments with documented symptom tracking, assist you in advocating for appropriate testing and treatment, and support you in seeking second opinions when necessary.—Our care advocacy extends beyond individual appointments. We help you understand complex treatment plans, navigate insurance issues, coordinate care between multiple providers, and make informed decisions about your healthcare options. We can assist with researching conditions and treatments, organizing medical records, and developing questions for your healthcare team.—This service is ideal for individuals managing chronic conditions, those seeking diagnosis for unexplained symptoms, people preparing for important medical decisions, or anyone who simply wants support and clarity in their healthcare journey. We recognize that advocating for yourself when you're unwell is exhausting—that's why we're here to stand beside you, ensuring you receive the respectful, comprehensive care you deserve.—Note: We are advocates, not medical professionals. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our role is to support your communication with your healthcare team, by gathering information and developing scripts in order to help you navigate the healthcare system more effectively.

Mental Health Services Navigation
Navigating the mental health system can be confusing, frustrating, and emotionally draining. Our Mental Health Services Navigation provides compassionate support to help you effectively communicate with your mental health providers, understand your treatment options, and ensure you receive the care that truly meets your needs.—We assist you in working with your counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case workers, and other mental health professionals by helping you prepare for appointments, articulate your concerns clearly, and ask the questions that matter most to you. Many people find it difficult to express what they're experiencing in therapeutic or psychiatric settings, whether due to the vulnerability involved, difficulty finding the right words, or fear of judgment. We help you organize your thoughts, document your symptoms and experiences, and communicate more effectively with your care team.—A key component of our service is helping you advocate for appropriate care. This includes supporting you in discussing medication concerns with your psychiatrist, exploring different therapeutic approaches with your counselor, requesting referrals to specialists when needed, and navigating insurance coverage for mental health services. We help you understand your rights as a patient and empower you to speak up when something isn't working.—We also provide support in coordinating care between multiple mental health providers, which can be particularly challenging when you're seeing both a therapist and a psychiatrist, or when transitioning between providers. We help ensure continuity of care and that all members of your treatment team have the information they need to support you effectively.—For those new to mental health treatment, we can help you understand what to expect from therapy or psychiatric care, how to find providers who are a good fit for your needs, and how to navigate the often-complex intake and assessment processes. For those already in treatment, we provide ongoing support to help you get the most out of your sessions and feel more confident in your therapeutic relationships.—Our mental health navigation service is particularly valuable for individuals who feel unheard by their providers, are struggling to find the right treatment approach, are dealing with medication concerns, or simply want additional support in making the most of their mental health care. We recognize that advocating for yourself when you're struggling mentally is incredibly difficult—that's why we're here to support you, build your confidence, and ensure your voice is heard in your treatment journey.—Note: We are advocates and coaches, not mental health clinicians. We do not provide therapy, psychiatric care, or clinical mental health services. Our role is to support your communication with your mental health providers and help you navigate the mental health system more effectively.

Medical Scheduling Management

Managing medical and mental health appointments can be one of the most draining aspects of seeking care—endless phone calls, complicated scheduling systems, long hold times, and the mental load of coordinating multiple providers across different locations and specialties. Our Medical Scheduling Management service takes this burden off your shoulders entirely.—We handle all aspects of appointment coordination for your medical and mental health care. This includes making initial appointment requests, following up with provider offices, and finding appointment times that work with your schedule and preferences. Whether you need to schedule routine check-ups, specialist consultations, therapy sessions, or follow-up appointments, we manage the entire process from start to finish.—Our service is particularly valuable when you're coordinating care across multiple providers—such as seeing both a primary care physician and several specialists, or working with both a therapist and a psychiatrist. We keep track of all your appointments, ensure appropriate spacing between visits, and help coordinate any necessary information sharing between providers.—We also handle the often-frustrating tasks of rescheduling appointments when conflicts arise, managing cancellations, and getting you on waiting lists for earlier availability. If you're seeking a new provider, we can assist with the intake scheduling process, which often involves multiple phone calls and paperwork coordination.—For individuals managing chronic conditions, mental health treatment, or complex medical situations, the administrative overhead of appointment management can feel overwhelming—especially when you're already dealing with symptoms, fatigue, or emotional distress. By taking over this responsibility, we free up your mental and emotional energy so you can focus on your actual health and wellbeing rather than the logistics of accessing care.—We maintain organized records of all your scheduled appointments, send you reminders, and ensure you have all necessary information (addresses, parking instructions, forms to bring) before each visit. This service integrates seamlessly with our Care Advocacy and Mental Health Services Navigation.—This service is ideal for anyone who finds appointment scheduling overwhelming, is managing multiple providers, has difficulty making phone calls due to anxiety or other barriers, or simply wants to reclaim the time and energy currently spent on healthcare logistics.

Organizational Services
Our Organizational Services provide comprehensive support for individuals who need structured systems but lack the time, energy, or capacity to design and implement them alone. This service is ideal for those experiencing overwhelm, managing complex schedules, or struggling with executive function challenges that make organizational tasks feel insurmountable.—We work closely with you to understand your specific needs, challenges, and goals, then design personalized organizational systems tailored to how your brain works and what your life actually looks like. This isn't about imposing generic productivity frameworks—it's about creating custom solutions that fit seamlessly into your reality.—Our services include designing comprehensive scheduling systems that account for all aspects of your life—work commitments, medical appointments, personal time, and rest. We create calendar structures that are realistic and sustainable, helping you avoid overcommitment while ensuring important tasks and appointments don't fall through the cracks.—We also develop information management systems, such as digital filing structures, note-taking frameworks (including "second brain" implementations in tools like Notion), task management setups, and reminder systems that actually work for you. These systems are designed to reduce cognitive load and make it easier to find information, track tasks, and maintain awareness of what needs your attention.—Beyond designing these systems, we handle the complete setup and implementation. We don't just give you a plan—we build it for you, ready to use immediately. This includes setting up your digital tools, creating templates, organizing existing information, and establishing workflows that make daily management easier.—We also provide training and documentation so you understand how to use and maintain your new systems. We recognize that the most beautifully designed system is worthless if you don't know how to use it, so we ensure you feel confident and capable with whatever we create for you.—This service is particularly valuable for individuals with ADHD, chronic illness, or other conditions that affect executive functioning and energy levels. It's also ideal for anyone going through major life transitions, managing multiple complex responsibilities, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the administrative aspects of daily life. When you need structure but don't have the capacity to create it yourself, we step in and build it for you—giving you back the mental space and energy to focus on what truly matters in your life.
